Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya was the great Sufi saint of India. Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya was born in 1238 A.D. He was the 4th Khalifa of Khwaza Moinuddin Chishti, Ajmer. His tomb is in Delhi.

Biography of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya
Nizamuddin Auliya was born in Badayun which is in the state of Uttar Pradesh. As Nizamuddin Auliya was the fourth Khalifa of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer Sharif he had respect to the Khwaza Garib Nawaz. The Khwaza Moinuddin Chishti order him to believe in moving closer to God through renunciation of the world and service to humanity, and Auliya. He had faith for poor peoples. He was a great contributor from a very young age. He is also known as Nizam-ad-Din Auliya. The father of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, Abdullah Bin Ahmad AlHussaini died when Nizamuddin was a child. So, He was raised by his mother named Bibi Julekha who was a very devout woman. Nizamuddin Auliya came to Delhi from the U.P with his mother. The great musician and Father of Kawwali Ameer Khushro was student of Hazrat Nuzamuddin Auliya.

He was interested to learn Quran and getting the knowledge. Mother of Nizamuddin ensured that her son learned to recite the holy Quran and studied traditions of the Prophet Hazrat Mohammed. He grew up to be an intelligent and sharp boy who excelled not only in religious studies and the Quran but also in subjects like mathematics and astronomy. He didn't marry whole life.

He had the interest to meet saints and he liked to get in touch with great saints. When he was 20 years old he became a Murid of the Sufi saint Fariduddin Ganjshakar and Bakhtiyar Kaki; which was the great saint of his time. His best meet to Fariduddin Ganjshakkar
commonly known as Baba Farid. He was attached to Baba Farid Ganjshakar and received spiritual training along with lessons in "Awarif-ul-Ma'Arif" and "Tamheed Abu Shakoor Salmi" which is a unique publication of Sufi Saint Hazrat Shihabuddin. Nizamuddin Auliya became the founder of the Chisti Nizami order.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya was not a common man. He had very much love for Prophet Hazrat Mohammad. Before his death, he had a vision of the prophet Hazrat Mohammad and realized that his end was near. He became very eager to leave his worldly body after seeing the prophet Hazrat Mohammad so that he could be united with the prophet. During the last 40 days of his life, he gave up food and died on the morning of 3 April 1325.
